Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation and meditation practice, which is known to counter the effects of stress and helps promote positive sleeping patterns. Characterised by a state between wakefulness and sleeping, yoga Nidra aims to induce a complete sense of relaxation in which the distractions of the brain are contained.
To help prepare the body and mind for a period of dormancy, you will explore gentle, floor-based movements to stimulate, stretch and come into the body. Finding comfort with bolsters and blankets, you’ll then be guided through a sensory journey of powerful meditation practices, visualisations and breathing techniques, moving into a deep state of conscious rest. After a closing meditation, you will leave having soothed your nervous system and ready to integrate the peaceful effects of yoga Nidra.
Open to all levels, even if you have NEVER practiced yoga before.
